Plains Radiology Services provides teleradiology interpretation for hospitals and clinics across the Midwest. If your healthcare provider has referred you for imaging at a facility that partners with PRS, here's what you can expect.
Your imaging study — whether it's an X-ray, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine exam, or mammogram — will be performed by the technologists at your local facility. The images are then transmitted to our team of board-certified radiologists for expert interpretation.
Our radiologists generate a detailed report and deliver it promptly to your ordering physician. Turnaround times are a priority for PRS — your doctor will receive the results quickly so they can advise you on next steps.
Your referring physician orders an X-ray, MRI, CT, or other imaging exam at a partnering facility.
A trained technologist at your local hospital or clinic performs the exam.
Your images are securely transmitted to our radiologists for expert interpretation.
Our radiologist's report is delivered promptly to your referring physician, who will share the results with you.
Billing
As a teleradiology provider, Plains Radiology Services bills separately from the facility where your imaging was performed. You may receive separate bills from the imaging facility and from PRS for the radiologist's professional interpretation fee.
